Fledgling

Rag

Fledgling Rag Logo 3.jpg

Fledgling Rag is a national poetry journal whose contributors have included state poets laureate from Maryland, Rhode Island, and South Carolina and poets who have won the Kate Tufts Discovery Award, Pushcart Prize, and the Newbery Medal. We've also published poems by poets whose work has appeared in Poetry, Best New Poetsthe Best 100 African American Poems, and The Best American Poetry.

Our collective lives are consumed with reading and listening, listening and reading poetry. We attend dozens of poetry readings throughout the year and read thousands of poems in our mornings and our evenings.

There are so many marvelously talented and hard-working poets in nearly every corner of the world who write well-crafted, intelligent, and emotional poems. We feel blessed when our eyes linger inside those lines. We are deeply connected to the humility and fragility in most of us.

We solicit all poetry from the individual poets.
