su Fledgling Rag, Issue Nine
Fledgling Rag, Issue Nine features Alexandra Hartman, who recently completed work on a Master of Arts degree in Embodiment Studies from Goddard College, where she researched the philosophy, psychology, sociology and theology of the body. As part of her degree work, she produced a conceptual film about Western attitudes toward the body called The Word Made Flesh.

In 1999 she received a grant from the Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts to develop Shirazad, a website for Pennsylvania writers and an anthology by the same name. Her poetry has been published in Goddard College's Semester Magazine, Fledgling Rag, Dripping Dahlias, Con-Sensual, Coerced by our Fears, Mouth Organ, Sorrowful Daughter, Stymied Impulse and Megans-Closet.com. She's been a featured poet at many venues in Pennsylvania and Maryland, and she currently collaborates with the musician Louis Porsi, incorporating her spoken-word poetry with Porsi's music. Hartman is a freelance web designer in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
